Drats! I am sick! I hate being sick... My nose has been like an open tap for the past few days since Thursday lo... I am about to finish one whole box of tissues le! AhhhhChoooo! Gonna see a doctor later and perhaps get a couple of days MC, which would be the 2nd time i am taking this year... Which means i won't be able to teach Terence stuff tomorrow... Damn... It's okay, i will call you to read up on some stuff 2mr, unless you're on MC too... I think i kinda over-exerted myself during last Wednesday's inter-battery soccer competition ba, with that searing heat, and almost no proper break and substitution, i wouldn't be surprised if i am down with fever too lo...
The soccer competition was already unfair to HQ BATTERY right from the start. We had trouble finding players, and i din want to play coz i wanted to play badminton instead... But 2LT HongDa (he's an idiot, one of the worse officers i have seen) kinda forced me to play. So well, i played, since there really isn't anyone left to play. That's better than letting the opposing teams have a walkover i guess... In the end, ARTHUR BTY merged with us, and hooray, we got EXACTLY 7 players. It was a 7-a-side game, so we had no substitutions while the other batteries had like more than 10 people lo... Sucks. And we had to play 3 games, with no subs! Can die eh... We had S1, Caleb, ShaoHui, Patrick, Joel, COPA and me. CO joined us for the last game though, and he's really hilarious! Watching him go after a ball and picking it up reminds me of a small boy eagerly running after a ball and touching it for the first time of his life! Haha...
Anyway, the first match against PGM was disastrous! We were playing with each other for the first time, and it was really messy. I dun even know what i was doing! Our team was in shambles, and well, we lost 3-0... I was like a chicken without its head, and nobody knew what position to cover and everything. The scoreline would have been greater if not for some poor shooting lo... 2nd match against TA, and if we were to lose, we are OUT! We held on for a 0-0 draw and we were slowly gelling as a team and i had to say we played well in the 2nd half! We would have won if i had converted those chances, all of which ended up looking like rubgy shots! Damn! 3 weeks without soccer and my shooting is really rusty! And the third game was against RNS! We definitely had to take advantage of David Soh's clumsy movements and we won 4-1! Woohoo! I scored a hat-trick, but it was still too late as TA beat PGM, and we were out. Damn... Our team really started to play well together, and we were excellent in the first half! But at the start of the 2nd half, we looked uninventive and they equalised... It's all that stupid Phang's fault! He shouldn't have subbed Caleb and his selfish play nearly cost us! He wanted to be the striker, fine, but he looked more like a statue than a striker becoz all he did was to stand in front and wait for the ball! He din even stepped into our half to defend lo! Sucks eh! And well, i refused to pass to him coz he really suck. And when we wanted to sub him out, he was unhappy! WTF! Stupid kok! And when Caleb came on, we scored 3 goals in 5 minutes! It's damn obvious where the problem was lo! Anyway, i was nominated for the Golden Boot Award but i think in the final, someone overtook me on the goals tally... Too bad... If only got prize... Hahha... And YongLiang told me the spectators were cheering me on when i got my hat-trick with chants of "Yellow Socks!Yellow Socks!" Haha... Kok... But well, it was fun. I love my yellow socks.
Went to the SITEX fair in EXPO on Thursday coz CO gave me a day OFF to help him source for laptop... And it's really boring... Computers are never my cup of tea, and i seriously know nuts about all these gadgets! Well, at least there were some showgirls there! And there were 2 girls wearing short-skirts standing on this elevated platform! Walau! That company(LG it think) damn jian la! Attract attention lo! Attract people to see them chao geng! So biantai!!! Haha... And i had tuition that night, which was by far one of the most unproductive lesson! My tutee only answered 2 questions in an hour! Coz he kept asking me non-maths related questions! Like why i like to drive, what's the distance between the sun and Earth, how hot is the Sun etc... WTH! He really couldn't concentrate at all! Can't blame him much though, coz it's his holidays now anyway... He very kok eh...
Went to Pulau Ubin on Friday with Melvin, Lixiang, ChunWee and Terence for a cycling/fishing trip! And damn, ChunWee forgot how to cycle! I had to coach him for like 20 mins and after some difficulty, he kinda regained 70% of his memory! And he kept slipping his foot off the pedal! Walau... Can die. At least he remembered how to cycle, or else we could really have called off the entire outing... We cycled to the beach and visited this huge wild boar in a man-made enclosure before we headed back to the Jetty for lunch! The overcast sky threatened to spoil our outing, but luckily we escpaed with just a drizzle! Heng ar! But ChunWee and Terence both fell and suffered some cuts! Lucky i brought plasters! And Lixiang really surprised me with his "ON" attitude throughout the entire trip! 5 stars for you Lixiang! Glad that you really enjoyed cycling! Muz remember to continue exercising after ORD eh! But it was a let-down that the fishing spots i remembered were out of bounds! Melvin and I went to recce for another spot, and we found one, but it was a fish-farm -_- Damn! I want to fish!!! As we were heading back to the Jetty, we passed by a bridge and woohoo, there were fishes in the river beneath us! I started fishing but all the stupid fish refused to take the bait! And there were these strange fishes whose mouths are located on their heads! How the heck am i gonna hook those up????!!! I was about to give up and leave when Melvin handed me this long bait(his theory of long bait for long-mouthed fish) and it really worked! My catch came out from nowhere and gosh, it was a pretty big (around 40cm) catfish!!! Wahz!!! That's my largest haul eh!!! Luckily a group of Malays approached and i gladly ask them whether they would like to have the fish (i hate eating fish) The Malay guy helped me with the fish and pointed out that the fins of the catfish were poisonous! I dinnoe that eh! Lucky! Or else i might have landed up in hospital le... He removed the fins with my plier( i threw it away, i scared got poison... hahar... ) and took the catfish in a plastic bag! I wondered what they did with it... Cook it? Or perhaps sell it at the market? It might fetch a good price lo, at least more than $10! We made our way back to the Jetty and while ChunWee rested, we cycled another round... We cycled till this German Girl Shrine, which sounds interesting but since it was getting late, we din go! Next time we shall explore it then! We had dinner at Changi Village before heading back to WhiteSands... Initially i wanted ice-cream at Swensens, but everyone left coz they looked really tired and i was sick, so i called it off... Can't enjoy ice-cream with a blocked nose anyway...
