Taikutsu...
Perhaps this job is not exciting enough for me.
A desk, a screen, a phone. Definitely not an ideal workplace that i see myself working at in the future. Such boredom will be the death of me. It might just made me into a stone, a statue, a puppet jabbing at a keyboard and speaking like a telephone recorder. Seriously, i wonder whether i might get infected with a ear infection after countless senseless phonecalls which irked me just to think of it. Oh yes, they are funny, but sometimes, one would wished we would be teleported over to the caller to allow us to give them a strangle, a -_- face or a verbal outlash.
"Good afternoon, Kenneth speaking. Can i help you?" has been repeated almost a thousand times. Well, some callers will have the courtesy to greet you, while some will merely sat,"where's my money huh?" Seems to me i owe them a huge amt of money or something. Well, the worst are callers who spoke so slowly that i felt i was back home sleeping. At 25 words per minute (oh yeah i counted. Amazing isn't it?), it could tame an angry lion and lull it to sleep. It's a bit hypocritical at times. To say "Have a nice day" to a caller who just pissed you off isn't a wonderous feeling. Okie, in the spirit of customer service, we are supposed to "sound" happy by smiling while talking to some particular bastards. They actually have a mirror at every desk so that one could look at oneself and remind you that u have to smile. The smiley face sticker is not very helpful though. Perhaps -_- would be better at times. Looking at myself, i think it would resemble someone who have not slept for 2 days. Drats.
Okie, i just got another caller who loves being spoon-feeded. Step by Step. Looking for an icon took 2 minutes (as short-sighted as me i guess) , and keying in an IC took another almost unbearable 5. Oh God. Singaporeans! Please be more independent!!! Occassionally, there will be callers who will call in to rant at the Garmen. I absolutely love it. Perhaps its the only thing i look forward to.
Well, at least lunch's only 20 minutes away. Perhaps i would get pizza today. It's ex. but hopefully it will give me the energy to stay awake till 5pm. Or it might just be the catalyst to awaken the Zzz monster in me.
Some supervisors are not helping our Stay Awake cause here. Kelvin just got caught reading comics online. It seemed that majority of the Supervisors would not care about what we are doing as long as we do the job well. So why can't we do something else when there's nothing absolutely to do besides staring at the mirror! Haiz. I wonder whether i can do any drawings today... Haha... Anyway, some supervisors (commonly known as SUP here) are sneaky. They would actually listen in to our conversations and there would be this strange echo of oneself at the background... I suppose SUP stands for Spying Ur Phonecall then.
Okie. I shall read my comics. Ain't gonna care.
